Wash the impacted location twice a day with gentle soap. Use soap, or one containingbenzoyl peroxide, such as Oxy-5. Wash regardly necessary to keep the area clean. Do not scrub.
Shampoo the hair regularly. Keep long hair off the face and shoulders and wash it daily. Avoid shaving as much as possible; while shaving be certain to avoid nicking the pimples.
Try a fresh shaving blade to reduce the chance of distributing the infection.
Avoid use of make-up or cosmetics in areas prone to acne. If you must wear make-up, just use the hypoallergenic or fragrance free kind.
Don’t pop, pick, scratch, or squeeze your pimples. This may cause infection and scarring.
You can utilize an over-the-counter treatment that include substances such as benzoyl peroxide (gel or cream) or salicyclic acid. Start with the lowest strength and apply once a day about half an hour after washing.
Never use more than 5 percent strength without consulting a physician.
Food and Nutrition Recommendations for Acne:Some doctors think that acne is not a food related problem. Some alternate practitioners use diet as a basis for their treatment of acne. They recommend that acne patients should eat foods high in beta-carotene, such ascarrots, pumpkin, cantaloupe and other yellow-orange fruits and vegetables.
They should also avoid fatty foods. Acnezine controls the oil secretion in your body to protect your skin from getting acne prone.
Vitamin Therapy for Acne:Nutritionists generally suggest:Chromium supplements – Chromium helps boosts the body’s ability to break down glucose.Vitamin A – reduces sebum and keratin production. (Caution: taking mega doses of Vitamin A can cause headaches, fatigue, muscle and joint pain and other side effects.
Consult a qualified practitioner before taking mega supplements).Vitamin E – an antioxidant (200 to 400 IU a day).Vitamin B-6 50 mg per day. This vitamin aids in the metabolism of hormones and supports the function of Acnezine as well.

Note: People should not try to medicate themselves or others with any of the methods referred to here without the guidance of a qualified practitioner who is thoroughly familiar with both the remedies and the individual’s medical status. Acnezine is an antioxidant, natural product without any unwanted effectthat reduces acne.

The main aim of any cosmetics company ought to be to provide their customers with serious skincare products. Regrettably, only a few company has a skincare philosophy that allows to allow them to accomplish that goal.Serious skincare is something which is expected through consumers, but way too often that is not what they are going to get. Almost all of the major cosmetics companies are producingsubpar products that will perform nothing for your skin. That is becausetheir skincare philosophy is to put every cent that they can in their pockets. This is completed by using low cost chemicals and synthetics in their products, thereby guaranteeing themselves a healthy profit.

What does this do for those that are looking for serious skincare? It leaves them with a product that will simply not meet their need. It also leaves them using components that have the possible to cause serious problems for their health.

The harmful chemicals usually used in products can pose a critical health risk, and many of these ingredients are known carcinogens. What we need to do is find a company with a markedly different skincare philosophy. If a company is going to provide serious skincare, then it has to use safe, and effective natural compounds as its ingredients. These ingredients also have to be chosen so as they work in synergy with one another in order to produce the specified results.

The suitable skincare philosophy must be to use only the most effective ingredients possible, no matter what the cost. What a company needs to do is offer significantly superior products, and better value for your money.Serious skincare is about producing products that are technically better than those of your competitors. This includes using innovative new ingredients like proteins and enzymes in order to produce real results.

A good skincare about putting your profits back into the products rather than spending nearly all your working budget on marketing campaigns. The formula should always come first in order to ensure quality. If a company’s skincare philosophy remains tailored to simply delivering to the customer the very highest quality creams and lotions that they can possibly produce then you can’t ask for any more than that.

There are actually a few companies that have adopted this ideal. The consumer simply really need to be more careful in choosing the quality of the products that they are getting. A good working knowledge of the ingredients that go into the making of your products is a must if you are going to be sure that a product is going to be effective.Serious skincare might be of interest serious business both to the customer, and to the company that is providing the products. It concerns time for cosmetics companies to give their customers just a little more.

Traditionally, certain foods such as chocolate, peanuts, fatty foodstuffs, and dairy products have been blamed for causing or aggravating acne. Research studies, however, have failed to find any association between certain diets and acne. This conclusion is now widely accepted amongst dermatologists.
However, a few dietary recommendations may be given for acne patients.

Sensitivity to Particular Foods:

Despite the fact that, for most patients, there is not any association between dietary factors and acne, there are exceptional cases where a certain food does cause acne to appear within days of its ingestion.
If there is an apparent correlation between consumption of that food and acne, the patient should avoid that specific food.

Milk Products and Acne

An acne patient undergoing treatment with antibiotics of the tetracycline group should avoid milk products while taking these drugs.
After ingestion of milk products, one should wait at least two hours before taking these antibiotics.
For acne patients who are not taking tetracyclines, there is no special reason to avoid milk products.

Alternative Medical Treatments Associated with Diet:

In the standard medical literature, there is no proof that alternative therapies are effective in acne. Nevertheless, these forms of treatment are usually harmless.
Therefore, if an acne sufferer is interested in alternative therapies (whether or not they involve dietary changes), they can be tried, provided there is no possibility that they will harm his/her health.
In any case, these therapies should be used in conjunction with conventional medical acne treatment.
Nowadays it is quite rare for acne not to improve with conventional medical treatment, taking into account the wide range of treatments currently available.

Dry skin is a common problem. most people experience skin dryness, to some extent, from time to time. Dry skin can result either from external causes or from the skin’s inability to retain its moisture.External Causes:

The most important external reasons for dry skin are exposure to dry environments and wind. Artificial indoor heating lowers the relative humidity, which dries out the skin even further.
For that reason, the skin tends to be dryer in the winter. Air-conditioning, with cold, dry air being blown into the room, can cause the skin to become dry as well.
Other external factors that influence the moisture level of the skin are:

washing, and exposure to certain substances.

Washing:

Frequent washing repeatedly removes the oily layer that protects the skin and actually serves to hold in the moisture. Certain types of soaps have a particularly drying effect.

Epidermis—The epidermis forms the outer layer. At the base of this layer, the cells continuously divide, forming new cells. As cells are made, they are pushed toward the surface by the newer cells underneath them, and finally reach the keratinous layer. Finally, the outermost cells in thekeratinous layer are shed.

Dermis—The dermis forms the layer below the epidermis and is thicker than the epidermis. The dermis is especially made up of collagen and elastin fibers. It also contains blood vessels, nerves, sensory organs, sebaceous glands, sweat glands, and hair follicles.

Subcutis—This layer lies beneath the dermis and consists of fat cells.

Probably the most typical misguided beliefs about acne is that it’s caused by dirt. It is not! Acne is caused by a combination of factors you can’t control, just like your hormone balance and the natural pace of your skin’s renewal system.
Luckily, there are a number of things you can control that may help you keep your acne in check. Begin byfollowing these simple suggestions for healthy-skin hygiene.

Acne Avoidance – Tip 1:

Don’t over-wash. Since dirt is not causing your acne, excessive scrubbing and washing won’t make it go away. Try to limit yourself to two washings per day — anything more than that can leave your healthy skin dry, and your acne-prone areas irritated. Habitual over-washing may also stimulate extra oil production, which could result in more breakouts.

Acne Avoidance – Tip 2:

Skip harsh scrubs. It’s okay to exfoliate, but be sure to use a gentle formula with small, smooth grains. Avoid products with almond or apricot shell fragments; they can irritate or even tear your skinand further aggravate your acne.

Acne Avoidance- Tip 3:

Say no to alcohol. If you use a toner, avoid products with good concentrations of isopropyl alcohol, or common rubbing alcohol. A strong astringent, alcohol strips the top layer of your skin, causing your sebaceous glands to produce more oil. The result? Dry, red skin — and possibly more blemishes.

Acne Avoidance – Tip 4:

Don’t squeeze or pick. Squeezing or picking your blemishes — with fingernails, pins or anything else — can force bacteria deeper into the skin, causing greater inflammation and infection. You’ll also increase the damageto the surrounding skin, so the blemish is more likely to leave a lasting acne scar.

Acne Avoidance – Tip 5:

Hands off! Propionibacterium acnes (the bacteria that causes breakouts) is a normal resident of your skin; it doesn’t lead to acne until it gets trapped inside the hair follicle. Excessive touching of your face, including rubbing or even resting your chin in your hands, can drive bacteria into your pores — where it can begin its dirtywork.

Acne Avoidance – Tip 6:

Work out, wash off. When you exercise, your movement generates heat; clothing and equipment cause friction. Until you shower off, heat and moisture are trapped against your skin, creating the right breeding ground for the spread of bacteria. So whenever you can, shower off immediately after exercising.

Acne Avoidance Treatment

Find a regimen and stick with it. Most casesof mild acne can be improved with “over-the-counter” products, or products that don’t require a prescription from your doctor. There is a wide range of treatments available, and there’s a good chance one of them will work for you.

If you start treatment before your acne gets severe, you’ll have a better chance of avoiding physical and emotional problems down the road. But if your acne gets worse or lasts more than a couple of weeks, see a dermatologist.

Inflammatory rosacea is a redness around the middle or central part of the facial area. Usuallythere are what looks like pimples just like those typicalin acne. What causes rosacea and what is the treatment?
No single cause has been identified. Inflammation is to be involved, but there is a question about what causes the inflammation. The theories put forth by researchers about the cause include:

* Imbalanced levels of peptides and enzymes within the skin
* Overgrowth of intestinal bacteria
* Overgrowth or sensitivereactionto demodex mites, naturally present on the skin

In addition to those causes, there are specifictriggers that trigger increased redness or aggravate the situation. Those include exercise, heat, sunburn, stress, cold climate, low humidity and high humidity. As you can see, some of the triggers are contradictory. So, it maydepend largely on individual sensitivities, speciallywhen foods and beverages are the triggers.

What is the Best Treatment for Inflammatory Rosacea?

Addressing the hiddenissue of chronic inflammation is one necessary step. Chronic inflammation is a cause of skin agingand cellular aging throughout the body. Dietary changes and supplements like fish oil can help with the chronic inflammation.

It takes time for supplements and dietary changes to work. A lot of people want something that will help relieve the symptoms quickly.

Why the Cream Works

Only Age Defense day cream includesa number of active ingredients. One of them is Functional Keratin. It has natural anti-inflammatory activity.

What are the Advantagesof the Cream?

With daily use, the cream will:

* Decreasethe signsof inflammatory rosacea
* Improve the skin’s firmness
* Reduce lines and wrinkles
* Providea general improvement in the skin’s appearance

Functional Keratin has proven anti-aging activity. It stimulatesthe constructionof new cells and elastic fibers. It risesthe skin’s antioxidant content, which lessensthe risk of free radical damage and helps to repairdamage that has already occurred. It improves the skin’s moisture content and firmness. Onlyone particular brandof creams consist ofthe ingredient was found.

Additional Recommendations

You may be temptedto squeeze, pick or scrub at the pimples. Some people experience itching, making them want to scratch. Picking, squeezing, scrubbing and scratching will worsen inflammation and redness. If you have inflammatory rosacea, you should not use exfoliants, sincethey will also worsen the inflammation and redness.

It is criticalto use mild cleansers and safe skincare products containing non-toxic ingredients. Many skincare products contain alcohol, which is known to cause additional burning and redness. Fragrance ingredients are among the other skin irritants commonly contained in cosmetics.

Identifying personal triggers and avoiding them is something else you can do. For example, some people find that spicy foods trigger the redness. If that happens to be the case for you, it should be relatively simple to avoid spicy foods.

With consistency, you can gaincontrol over inflammatory rosacea. The use of truly natural skincare products and dietary supplementswill help.

Acne is the most common skin disease worldwide. Blemishes, bumps, papules, pustules, spots, whiteheads, zits, goobers, the plague,or whatever you it is known as, almost everyone is liable to get it.
In the United States and Canada, acne affects 45 to 55 million individuals at some point in their lives, the vast majority of whom are teenagers. In fact, nearly 80 percent of all young people will face at least an occasional breakout of acne. Acne imposes itself on young men and young women about equally, but young men are likelier to have more severe forms of acne.

The events that take place in the sebaceousglands and hair follicles trigger acne. The exactcause is unknown; however, regardless of a person’s age, acne is a condition of clogged hair follicles and the reaction of sebaceous glands, glands that are attachedto hair follicles and produce an oily substance called sebum. Mix in some lifelessskin cells that become “sticky” and block the pores, add a bit of bacteria, and you have the makings of a breakout. And for a more detailed description about how pimples form.

Doctors think that these events, and acne itself, outcomefrom several related factors, includingyour hormones (which are responsible for increasing oil production) and heredity (the tendency to develop acne is often inherited from parents and other relatives).

Less commonly, acne can occur as a reaction to certain drugs and chemicals, and other physical factors may exacerbate the problem. I cover all of these issues, including the myths and misinformation concerning the causes of acne.

Pizza, French fries, and other greasy foods don’t cause acne or make it worse. You’re welcome. (I’m a doctor, so I’m compelled to remind you that though these foods won’t affect your acne, they aren’t the building blocks of a healthy diet.) But before you snidely bring this mistaken notion to your mom’s attention, another one of her common statements is right on the money: “Quit playing with your face.” Picking does make zits worse!

Dry skin is a big problem for some people. You can find natural remedies for your dry skin in this article. Please read carefully:
Dry skin usually lacks moisture. There are many factors like environment, food habits which causes dry skin.

Drinking 8-10 glasses of water keeps the skin hydrated and moisturized

Apply moisturizer to slightly damp skin after shower.

If you have acne problems then you should check our article about “acne treatments”. Here are some useful tips and best acne treatments:
So, in our quest for the best acnetreatments wehavetried all the major players to really hit the damn spot!

Best Acne Treatments – Tip 1:
Clean your skin twice a day with mild soap free cleanser. Nothing too strong or perfumed. Dry with a clean towel – get a new one each day.

Best Acne Treatments – Tip 2:
If you wear makeup remove it separately first with a light milky cleaner and cotton pads.

Best Acne Treatments – Tip 3:
Only tone if you have too. Limit your products to avoid over exposure to chemicals and bad reactions so you can tailor make them into the best acne treatments for you.

Best Acne Treatments – Tip 4:
Moisturise with a light cream, nothing too greasy. Even if you feel oily enough, don’t skimp on this as your skin needs moisturisation even in this nasty state.

Best Acne Treatments – Tip 5:
If you are applying makeup – this is also for guys that are using concealer (nothing to be ashamed of by the way) use only the cleanest of makeup brushes or even better, your fresh fingers to apply. Chuck out all old manky brushes and stick to cotton wool buds. Don’t wear makeup in the house so your skin can get as much air as possible but of course I understand that you need to cover up to face the world. I recommend Lancome foundations as they don’t seem to clog the skin too much. A non comogenic powder, in plain English, a non clogging one is better than a thicker one, so do the switch if you can.

Best Acne Treatments – Difficult Tips

The following tips are more difficult to follow but well worth it -

Don’t touch your face EVER – only to clean your face when your fingers are brand spankingly clean.

Avoid sweating – all the doctors tell you to keep excersising frantically, but frankly it’s bull***. Change to yoga or less heated sports as sweat is not your best friend.

Drink tonnes of water - also herbal teas. You need to help your body to pee all those nasty toxins out so get slurping.

Reduce dairy and wheat foods – this is tough but with many people it really works. I don’t buy that theory that what you eat and drink doesn’t affect acne. Of course it does. Anyone that is serious about their acne treatment will do anything to help themselves.

Stop smoking – all the best acne treatments in the world are not performing at their most powerful if you are sucking up fumes all day. Cut it out – and PS yes, it stinks. Anyone that has so little respect for their bodies and of those around them does not deserve to have good skin.
